I'm awkward hello
I've kinda noticed over the past couple of years here on DA
that a lot of the friendships I had on here have pretty much died out, I used to have a lot of friends who I spoke to regularly online but I've lost contact with nearly all of them apart from 2-3
and I sometimes miss those friendships as they were good and I have so many fond memories but those friendships are dead
and I have to blame myself
I am
very awkward with chatting to people and holding up conversations because I feel like
I'm annoying
I'll somehow bother them
I don't know how to speak to them
or simply I'm scared and usually they do nothing to scare me but I just have that anxiety and fear
and because of that a lot of my friendships suffer
I could partly blame the fact that I've had awful friendships that have really kinda left a stain on me but I still blame myself fully either way
I wish I was someone who was extroverted and found it easy to speak to people but I just don't and it's frustrating because my friendships and talking to new people really take a hard hit from that
I decided that this year I wanted to try to get out there more, meet new people and talk to
even form friendships because even though my friendship group is small and I love and appreciate the amazing friends I have now
it's good to get out there and meet new people
and I follow so many lovely people on here and on other places who I would love to get to know and chat too
but I'm just scared I'll do something wrong or I'll annoy them by saying something
so I'm going to try to push myself more to talk to others and kinda stop being that silent watcher who's too afraid to speak
